1000 Calorie Diet

1000
calorie diet is a drastic cut of your calories. If you engage in very
extensive workout this diet is not for you. It is suitable only for
small frame person, usually a woman, who is moderately active. If you
are an active man you should not cut your calories to less than 1500,
but again, discuss this diet, like every other, with your doctor.
You
do not want to run out of fuel and energy or slow down your metabolism
so it is for short-term use only (eg. 14 days), perhaps to restart
weight loss, or as a form of cleansing diet. It should not be used for
longer than 4 weeks.
The best way to start is to open a food
journal, because you will need to mark down EVERY calorie that you
consume. Portion size is very important to count every calorie, so buy
a small food scale. Prepare your food one day ahead, so you don't snack
something unhealthy.
Rules:
Plan
5 meals every day: breakfast (250 calories), snack (100 calories),
lunch (350 calories), snack (100 calories) and dinner (200 calories).
Drink at least 2L of water every day.
